1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Darren Docherty, a sole trader trading as Delgato, uses cookies and similar technologies in Atlas at atlas.delgato.co.uk.
It should be read with the Atlas Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, scripts and device identifiers that store or access information on a device.
3. Current Atlas setup
Atlas currently uses technologies needed for authentication, account security, fraud prevention and payment functionality.
Vercel Web Analytics is configured as cookieless analytics. Vercel Speed Insights collects technical performance information without being used by us for behavioural advertising.
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. On this basis, Atlas does not currently display a cookie-consent banner.
4. Technologies used
| Provider or technology | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clerk authentication and session technologies | Sign-in, session continuity, account security and fraud prevention | Strictly necessary | Session or the period needed to maintain a secure account session |
| Atlas browser storage | Remember short-lived interface and workflow state requested by the user | Strictly necessary or functional | Session or until cleared by the user |
| Stripe technologies on Stripe-hosted payment pages | Payment processing, security and fraud prevention | Strictly necessary for the requested payment service | As set by Stripe for its payment and security services |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Cookieless, aggregate website and application usage measurement | Cookieless analytics | No Atlas analytics cookie is set |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Application performance and reliability measurement | Performance measurement | No marketing profile is created by Atlas |
Exact names used by authentication and payment providers may change as those providers update their security services.
5. Strictly necessary technologies
Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where they are required to:
- sign a user in and maintain a secure session;
- protect Atlas from fraud or misuse;
- remember a user-requested workflow state;
- balance and secure service traffic; or
- provide Subscription payment and billing functions requested by the user.
Blocking these technologies in a browser may stop Atlas from working correctly.
6. Analytics and performance measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate use of Atlas and Vercel Speed Insights to understand application performance.
We do not use these services to build advertising profiles, and the current Vercel Web Analytics configuration does not use analytics cookies.
7. Optional cookies and future changes
We may introduce optional analytics, marketing or advertising technologies in the future. Before doing so, we will update this policy and introduce a consent mechanism where required by law.
Optional cookies that require consent will not be set before a user makes an affirmative choice. Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent access to core Atlas features.
8. Third-party pages
When a user opens a Clerk or Stripe-hosted page, that provider may use its own necessary cookies and technologies under its privacy and cookie information.
The Customer is responsible for cookies or embedded services it independently adds outside Atlas.
9. Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking all site data may prevent Atlas from signing the user in, maintaining a session or completing payment steps.
10. Do Not Track and similar signals
Because Atlas does not currently use behavioural advertising, browser advertising-preference signals do not change advertising activity within Atlas. We will review this position if our technology changes.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published with a revised Last updated date.
